Polhill Campus New Academic Building

University of Bedfordshire

mosescameronwilliams architects won a competitive OJEU tender process to take forward the framework with the University of Bedfordshire for work across their various estates. We commenced work on the Polhill New Academic Building in Bedford in October 2013.

The work consists of several elements of development that create an upgrading of the existing campus. These include a new teaching and learning facility (3750m2), as well as extensive associated landscaping.

The New Academic Building consists of lecture theatres, seminar and classrooms, staff space, and informal learning areas. The building achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’.

Intensive dialogue has been undertaken with the client estates team and the building users, as well the local authorities.

The project was completed in November 2014.
