In early 2009 we carried out a feasibility study for a Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology building at the University of Cambridge.
The new building was toprovide the Department with the opportunity to act as a focus within the University for internationally-leading activities in sensors and diagnostics research, and multi-scale reaction engineering.
The new facility allows long term flexibility to respond to an ever changing research programme and critically, create a real sense of community and cohesion.
The feasibility study was used as a basis to procure the implemented scheme designed by others- which opened in 2016/17.
