Big hearts, keen eyes, powerful ideas
Seriously good architecture,
for everyone
for everyone
MCW Architects was founded in 2011 by three architects with a common purpose; to design seriously good architecture, for everyone.
From our dedicated studio in Cambridge, we work with groundbreaking organisations and world-leading institutions that share our enthusiasm to make people’s lives better. For us, it really is that simple. Exceptional architecture that works from the inside out, designed with commitment and care by skilled people who love what they do.

A manifesto (of sorts)
—
Architecture should be underpinned by a powerful idea; an intelligent and logical response, specific to place, function, culture and cost.We approach every project with a big heart and a keen eye; a blend of rationality and creativity.
We design with imagination and compassion; always thinking of our clients’ needs, and the people who will use and enjoy the spaces we create, inside and out.
We take responsibility for our role in tackling the climate crisis, and we hold ourselves accountable for the social legacy of the buildings we design.
Loyalty as a superpower
The MCW team that our clients meet on the first day, will be dedicated to that client and their project. They will listen, ask questions, sketch concepts, draw up the detail, respond, challenge preconceptions, ask more questions, research, advise, encourage and - the best bit - cheer every success and celebrate completion.
