why architecture
I have always been fascinated by buildings, not only for what they are now, but also for how they came to be. Every architectural detail shares a unique story of the design process and introduces a wealth of ideas.
Originally from Hanoi the capital of Vietnam, I graduated from University of Brighton in 2010 where I received a number of awards for my design skills, most significantly my design thesis was nominated for Building Design Student of the Year award. I started my career working for small local studios specialising in historic buildings and conservation, before joining the international practice RMJM in 2011 where I worked in public and higher-educational sectors.
my MCW experience
Since becoming a member of MCW Architects, I have been a key member of the teams working for clients such as the University of Hertfordshire, University of Bedfordshire, University of Northampton, and Selwyn College. Perhaps the most important strength of MCW Architects is its people. It is here in Cambridge that I’ve met my most talented colleagues and my dearest friends, who will continue to be a part of my life for years to come.
being inspired
I am captivated by new technologies in construction such as biomimetics architecture, parametric design and digital fabrication, and read widely on these areas as materials become available.
I spend most of my spare time reading, going to gigs, and hanging out with my friends.
I have recently completed my professional training at the University of Cambridge.
